Prosecutor argues that
- complaints by two Turkish victims carry insufficient evidence,
- his organization will not allow for a criminal investigation which in itself prevents him from interrogating 4 crucial witnesses in Turkey, checking the archives of the Dutch Ministry of Justice, and even the option to interview a third Turkish victim of child abuse.
The lawyer of the plaintiff(s) argues that
- in The Netherlands an anonymous tip can already result in law enforcement raiding homes and arrest people, but a flood of evidence and witness statements does not appear to justify a criminal investigation in relation to the highest ranked official of the Justice Department. The lawyer then decided to post all relevant evidence online.
