EU Commissioner Viviane Reding: Complaint Center Of Dutch Freedom Party Is In Conflict With European Principles. Geert Wilders: Screw Brussels

“In Europe we favour freedom. We’re an open continent where citizens can go, work and study wherever they want. We solve our issues through solidarity, not by ratting out fellow citizens,” Reding stated.

The European Commission is calling on all Dutch citizens not to follow this call for intolerance. Instead they should leave a message on the website of the Freedom Party stating that Europe is a place for freedom and tolerance.

“Screw Brussels. We’ve already received more than 32,000 complaints and the website hits the mark.”

In a remarkable move, Dutch prosecution authorities are now warning everyone who is using the KPN user login data which has been published online, that they will be facing stiff prison sentences.

It’s remarkable because not too long ago two Dutch hackers who launched cyberattacks on VISA and MasterCard were sentenced to 26 and 80 hours of public service.

Also, 5 Dutch wizardforum hackers who hacked into 14 university networks in the US and a large number of university networks in Western Europe, causing at least 100,000 USD in damages, only received probation sentences

A Dutch hacker called  Brenno de Winter was not being prosecuted in The Netherlands for hacking Public Transportation Cards. He did break the law but was acting as a reporter too. Public Prosecutor’s Office argued that in that case the importance of informing the general public as a journalist was prevailing.

Having released a 19-year-old pro-Wikileaks Anonymous supporter after a day, the Dutch Public Prosecutor’s Office now reports that it has released the first Anonymous supporter they arrested, a 16-year-old individual from The Hague who has attacked the websites of VISA and MasterCard. The Public Prosecutor’s Office explains that “the investigation does not require him to remain in custody any longer.” He has been released on the condition that he will not engage in criminal activities in the future.

Denial by KPN, an interview by the hackers themselves, confessions by KPN and still a bit of downplaying and now it’s back to the hackers again who have posted KPN user data on Pastebin.

Twitter users are acknowledging that the user data and login information is real.

The Dutch public prosecutor’s office has no other remedy than to threaten internet users who go and use the login information illegally obtained from KPN’s servers. Same applies to news reporters who are now testing whether the stolen data is real.

Others have discovered that KPN users – like any other user – use the same password for multiple online services. As such they have been able to also access Facebook and Marktplaats (Dutch eBay) accounts, using KPN’s data.

As a precaution, KPN has now taken its entire e-mail environment offline.
