Translation:
The (newspaper) Algemeen Dagblad (AD) published two articles on 6th and 8th October regarding the top official of the Ministry of Justice & Security, Joris Demmink. The newspaper quoted three eye witnesses and two supporting witnesses who all vigorously stated that they have seen Demmink in the presence of a pimp of underaged boys back in the Eighties. They also describe how underaged boys were being ‘delivered’ at his home address. In the early Eighties, Demmink was the Director General for the entire law enforcement apparatus in The Netherlands. Two of the eye witnesses are stating in the newspaper that they’re willing to make these shocking statements while under oath.
One would expect that after such a publication, alarm bells would go off at the Ministry of Justice & Security which is taking care of law and order in our country. But what happened? The same day the second publication was made, Minister Opstelten wrote to Parliament that he did not want to investigate the accusations in the AD. A few calls to his investigative services (who are all being overseen by Demmink himself) convinced him not to take any action. And as such, it appears that Demmink is again freeing himself from new and serious accusations. Even at a time when the American Congress noted that it was very concerned about all this and did decide to start an inquiry last October.
By publishing this advertisement I, and with me thousands of other concerned citizens, am asking the Minister and Parliament to immediately initiate a serious, independent and thorough investigation into yet another incident involving Demmink. Meanwhile Demmink must be suspended. Restore the rule of law.
